Sofia and her family fled their hometown of Charkiv when their building was hit by a bomb during the start of the Ukraine war. Sofia left with only one dream: to become a top tennis player. She has a world high ranking of #11 in the world for U14 players.
In September, she achieved her biggest win, her first ITF Title at the J60 Majadahonda in Madrid, Spain and reached a new world high ranking of #673 for U18 players.
This season, her focus is to enter the ITF Top 500 by the end of the year, utlimately her goal is to become a Top 10 player, winning all 4 Grand Slams.
