Darina is a 12-year-old tennis player from Latvia. She's been passionate about tennis since she was 4.5 years old and plays right-handed. Her favorite player is Maria Sharapova, and she's especially good at playing on hard courts, with a strong volley.
In her career so far, Darina has won some big tournaments. She took first place at the Open Super 12 Auray in France and the TORNEO u12 Porto San Giorgio in Italy. In 2023, she got a special award from Tennis Europe, which they don't give out every year. She also won all eight of the 12 & Under Category 1 tournaments in 2023 without losing a set. In 2024, she made it to the second round of Les Petits As, even though she was younger than the other players.
Darina's goals are to start playing in the TE U14 level and win more matches. Her big dream is to be the best in professional tennis, win Grand Slam titles, and have people support her journey to the top.
