Timur Gordeev is a 13-year-old boy from Moscow, Russia. When he was only six months old, he moved to Dubai, UAE. He started playing tennis at the age of four and a half. Timur plays right-handed, and his favorite shot is the forehand. He prefers to play on clay courts and looks up to Novak Djokovic as his tennis idol.
Timur has already made a mark in tennis by winning several tournaments. He won the TE U12 Misin Memorijal in singles and was a finalist in doubles. He was also the runner-up in U14 singles at the same tournament and reached the U16 doubles final in Armenia. In addition, he was the runner-up in U12 singles in Split, Croatia, and was a finalist in TE U12 singles in Montenegro twice.
Recently, Timur participated in the IMG Future Stars tournament, which features the top 24 young players in the world, and he won the Mubadala Junior U16 tournament in Abu Dhabi.
This year, his goal is to break into the top 1000 in the ITF junior rankings. Timur dreams of winning all four Grand Slam tournaments and becoming the number one tennis player in the world.
